Abstract

This research study investigates  the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in English language classrooms at the university level, employing a quantitative approach to examine the phenomenon. The study utilizes a causal-comparative research design to explore the relationship between variables, which are measured through a cross-sectional survey providing numerical descriptions. The population consists of BS and M.Phil. English students from Riphah International University and Government University of Faisalabad. A random sampling technique ensures the sample's representativeness. The instrument is pilot-tested for validity and reliability. Statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and linear regression, is used to answer research questions. The findings indicate a positive correlation between AI integration and language learning outcomes. The study suggests that instructors should leverage AI applications to enhance language fluency and learning, and AI-powered tools can be utilized to develop various aspects of language proficiency."
